The college is committed to offer best education and training of Sports and Games especially to the students hailing from rural areas. The college has become a preferred choice by the students in the region due to its following intensive training prosgrams for sports and games that ultimately imbibe the values like the physical fitness, diet, sportsmanship, sports training and practice and importance of games and sports in life among students. It perhaps, is the only college in the rural areas that has produced sportspersons of national and international level and also bagged prizes at international levels. Department of Physical Education and Sports is proactive one. The director, trainers and coaches at the college are well qualified and dedicated to their work. It is the result of their constant efforts and hard-work that sportspersons of the college are successful at national and international levels.

OUTCOME ANALYSIS:

  • 5 students and teachers of Shivaji College received prestigious Shivchhatrapatiand other awards given by Government of Maharashtra.
  • 30 medals/awards are won by students at state, national and international levels.
  • 423 students participated in different events and competitions in the last five years.
