About Department

The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 2003. B.Sc.(Computer Science) was introduced in the year 2007. Department started M.Sc. (Computer Science) in the year 2019-20. The department is prominent to provide computer education in rural region for undergraduate and post graduate courses . The department ensures quality education which emphasises on theory , hands-on sessions and projects to meet the requirements of the Information Technology.Department have latest configured  computers ,LCD projector ,e-books ,Digital electronics kit ,Microprocessor kits. For convenient and handy reference work department runs a 'Departmental Library' with 20 books and 2 journals.Department is provided free internet facility accessible to staff and students.Department organizes various 'expert lecture series' to the student under quality improvement programme of Dr. BAMU .Our students also organize various functions like teachers day , send off function etc.

 

Importance of the subject

Master's degree in computer Science can provide a foundation for a career in technology ,research and development .Jobs in the computer Science industry can typically be found in a company's information technology department , a government agency or a non-profit  entity.Students can gain the research skills that they need to prepare for successful admission into a Ph.D. program .In Government sector the candidates find opening in C-DAC , C-DIT etc. Some of the software companies recruiting M.Sc. Post graduates are T.C.S., Infosys, I.B.M.,Wipro ,Oracle etc.
