SHRI CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI SHIKSHAN PRASARAK MANDAL
Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Kannad;was founded in 1961 under the enthusiastic and generous leadership of honorable Sahakarmaharshi late Shri Balasaheb Pawar,Shri Baburao Auralekar, Shri Narayanraoji Nagadkar, Shri kakasaheb Deshmukh, Shri Ramraoji Patil Bahirgaonkar, Shri Laxmanrao Mohite, and Adv.Trimbakrao Nalawade and so on. The institute was established with the goal of providing higher education to this rural, backward tribals as well as the poor and the oppressed students of Kannad taluka.With this object Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal runs Shivaji Arts,Commerce,and Science senior college, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Jr college , M.C.V.C. college, Savitribai Phule Kanya vidyalaya ,and primary school at Bhilpaltan, Co-educational high school at Kalanki and Priyadarshani girls hostel(government recoganized).
The institute is playing vital role in the field of education and social reformation. Mandal is very generous and organizes various orientation programs, workshops, symposium, conferences etc for the quality improvement of the teachers and the students.
The object behind the fundation of this educational institute in Marathawada was nothing but a sincere attempt to provide light of knowledge to those who are suffering in the darkness of ignorance. This institution is marching towards its goals slowly and steadily.
