About Department
The Department of
English is in existence since the inception of the college in 1972. The
Department offers Under Graduate, Post Graduate Courses. The department has consistently striven to provide quality
teaching to students who are drawn to the college from all over region. In
terms of resources and infra-structure too, the department has a l the
latest audio-visual equipment at its disposal including a Television set and LCD projector with screen.It also
has a fair number of quality digital study material for language and literature that enables us
to arrange screenings for students from time to time. The department has a good collection of high-quality books in the departmental library. The college has also
recently set up a Language Laboratory facility . Language Lab is a unique State of Art solution developed to improve communication of all level of students by concentrating on basic language learning skills i.e. Listen, Speak, Read and Write (LSRW). Keeping in mind the all round development of students the department has been conducting student centric activities such as spoken & written English classes,Film club,Book club,Photo Exhibition,Poster Presentation etc.The Department
of English is proud of its warm, inclusive atmosphere, devoted academic
faculty, and excellent administrative staff.

literature education can effectively provide students with literature and
language knowledge, to expand the students' thinking space and rich students’
visions, so that students can experience the language practice activities,
which can effectively improve the language skills of students. English is one of the most important
Global language. Most of the international transactions of recent times are
concluded in English. The language has contributed significantly in bringing
people and their culture closer.The benefits of learning English can be
seen in the economic, social and political life of the people of the country.
Language skills are the basic competencies that the talents of today's
society must possess. For students, to enhance their language expression skills
is an important means to enhance their communication ability. The good language
skill is also the basis for students to establish a good interpersonal
relationship in the society. At present, the social competition is very
intense. After entering the society, students also must have strong language
skills in order to effectively deal with all kinds of relationships in order to
effectively develop in social competition. English literature opens up a world of inspiration and
creativity, while also developing skills that are essential for today's global
environment. It is a chance to discover how literature makes sense of the world
through stories, poems, novels and plays. It is also a chance to sharpen your
