Importance of the subject
BCS
BCS is an Undergraduate Academic Degree awarded for a course or program in computer science applications. The duration of this course is of 3 years, which are divided into 6 semesters of study. The primary aim of this program is to enhance students' knowledge of several applications of computer systems. Amongst several applications, the candidates are trained in software development and database management.
BCS syllabus is quite like that of the B.Sc Computer Science syllabus. The BCS syllabus includes subjects such as Web Development, Dot Net programming, JAVA Programming, Systems Programming, Operating System, etc. that are pursued in-depth.
The course also offers several practice sessions that will enhance students' practical knowledge. The course structure is designed to provide subjects in a sequential manner of study. The course offers basic coding and computer application basics along with basic mathematics for the first four semesters, and provides advanced database management and networking along with specialized electives for the rest of the semesters.
